Creating murals is about more than artistic talent—it’s also about building a sustainable creative career. In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of the mural industry, with a focus on spray-painted mural projects. Topics include developing a portfolio, pricing and budgeting projects, creating winning proposals, navigating the design process with clients, securing permits and lifts, navigating contracts, estimating materials, and managing timelines.

Participants will also explore equipment selection, safety considerations, osha certifications, and best practices for executing large-scale murals efficiently. Through real-world examples and industry insights, artists will gain a clearer understanding of how to transform their creative skills into successful mural opportunities and navigate the business side of public art with confidence.
