The Future of BMoCA

We have hit the ground running this year, building on the strong momentum of 2025 and continuing to advance both the design process and our fundraising efforts that will bring this transformative project to life.

BMoCA and our partners at Emerald Development and SO-IL are around 60% through the schematic design phase of the museum and creative campus. This process involves several rounds of iterations where the architect translates the functional needs of the new museum into a visual representation of the space. We are also starting to define the exterior of the new building during this exciting phase of design.

Since our November report, the BMoCA Development Team and Capital Campaign Committee have met with over 15 stakeholders and donors, strengthening existing relationships and cultivating new ones. We are very excited to share that a Boulder family has just committed a gift of $800,000 for the campaign.

July 2026 Update

BMoCA is thrilled to announce that the museum has been awarded $1.5 million through the Colorado Community Revitalization Tax Credit (CRTC) Program, administered by Colorado Creative Industries (CCI), a department of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade. More info here.

We are currently at $13.6 million, which is 54% of our goal of 25 million.
