BMoCA presents a site-generated performance work by movement artist Elle Hong and exhibiting artist Cipriano Ortega. A plague I call a heartbeat, explores themes of time, turmoil, and survival within the social worlds the artists inhabit separately and together. The performance will weave together poetry from within Cipriano's installation, and 2-string bass improvisation with choreographed/improvised movement exploring themes of home, loneliness/isolation, and the desire for/to be loved. Audience members are invited to a karaoke following the artists' performance.
