Call for Artists
Calling all painters, potters, photographers. Weavers, woodworkers, watercolor artists… we want them all! Whether you’re a novice or a professional, age 5, 55, or 105, all artists are invited to share their work at Open Wall, a pop-up community art exhibition and auction at BMoCA.
Participation is free, and all mediums are welcome.
All artwork needs to be install-ready, and artists install their work beginning at 4:30pm on a first-come, first-served basis. BMoCA provides wall space, pedestals, hammers, and nails. Registration occurs on the day of the event at BMoCA.
Artists price their own work, and the silent auction begins at 5:30pm. Proceeds are split 50/50 between the artist and BMoCA. Artists who are members of BMoCA receive a greater percentage of the sale of their work through a 60/40 split with the museum. Click here to become a member or learn about our membership levels.
Free and open to the public. Help support BMoCA and the local art community in a fun night of community art curation. Mingle with artists, bid on a new piece of art for your collection, and enjoy music, light hors d’œuvres, and refreshments. A variety of local artists will have diverse, multi-media works for sale in addition to a special selection of works from renowned artists Mark Bueno, Amy Metier, Kate Petley, Bruce Price, and Remington Robinson that will be available to bid on.
Open Wall is part of the 2019 Boulder Arts Week, where over 300 diverse, fun, entertaining and world-class experiences are available in a single week.
