Student Programs

The Studio Project
Developed by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, The Studio Project hosts events and programs to facilitate dialogue about art, art making, and social issues as they affect teens. With input from local high school students, BMoCA engages young people in a dynamic investigation of contemporary art and topics important in teenage life, like technology, film, and creative expression.

Youth Art Advisory Internship
The Youth Art Advisory Internship trains 12 high school students each school year to create Studio Project events and programs. Applications are accepted in the spring.

Summer Intern-In-Training
The Intern-In-Training program introduces junior high and high school students to the museum world through Young Artists at Work, our popular summer art camp. Interns work side by side with kids ages 5-10 and the visiting artist for a week of museum discovery and art-making. Interns can volunteer for one week or for all eight weeks during the summer.

Portfolio 101
Offered every fall, The Studio Project, BMoCA’s teen program, in collaboration with Virginia Schick, Boulder High School art teacher, is pleased to offer Portfolio 101. Learn the ins and outs of creating a portfolio for college. Open to high school students and their parents. This program is free of charge.
