Charles
Wooldridge
The simplicity of Charles Wooldridge's installations belies the complexity of the message. Nothing is perceived fully in any space in time. His boxes are an example of how things can be opposites in formation and design but be the same in a sense of agreement. Though multiples, and being able to physically align, they make one simple statement of perfect concurrence. By forcing the viewer to perceive the units within a whole, perception is deeply enhanced if not fully altered.
