ACME/BMoCA Concert Series

 In the second concert of this series, ACME will perform 3 x 5 , five trios for various combinations of instrumentation – soprano Elizabeth Weigle, violinist Andrew May, cellist Dianne Betkowski, pianist Nanette Shannon, and flutist Elizabeth McNutt. Betkowski and May are also composers; included in the concert are their piano trios Vignette and Tender Intervals . Focusing on recent repertoire in a wide range of styles, the concert will feature works from the colorful and sensual Cendres by Kaija Saariaho to Carlton Wilkinson's elegant setting of Yeats in the Second Coming . The program closes with one of J.S. Bach's most challenging works, the Trio from The Musical Offering .
