Ana María Hernando: Star Flowers
February 10 – June 14, 2020
@ Frasier

The exhibition Star Flowers showcased eight collaged works on paper and two large-scale paintings on canvas by Ana María Hernando. Hernando made the collaged paper works at a time of personal challenge about which she shared, “I was in need of quietness…The white on white, the softness of the papers, finding patterns through repetition was very healing and a place of safety.” Creating this place of safety was her goal in sharing these works with the residents of Frasier Meadows.

BMoCA at Frasier is a collaboration between Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and Frasier Retirement Community. Curated by BMoCA, this series of exhibitions in The Canyons Gallery is an extension of the museum’s exhibition schedule. Each exhibition is complemented by a series of education programs.
