In his elaborately constructed, colorful photographs, Jason DeMarte explored the unsettling intersection between the natural world and consumer culture. His compositions challenge romantic notions of nature by juxtaposing flora and fauna with brightly colored plastics, mysterious oozing liquids, candy, and other unnatural elements.
