Once Removed: Photography by Evan Anderman
March 28 – May 19, 2017
@ Macky

Once Removed: Photography by Evan Anderman presented a selection of works by the Denver-based artist that examine the subtle beauty of the rural Eastern plains of Colorado, a landscape that has been modified by both natural and man-made processes. His works seek to challenge our understanding of the relationship between human development and the natural world by documenting the way we use the land. The artist’s unique perspective mediates a view of agriculture and industry that is not ordinarily accessible without special skills, training, and equipment. While the images have an abstracted aesthetic quality, they reveal the manifestation of global tensions on a local scale.

This exhibition was presented as part of Month of Photography.
