Founded in 1960, Americans for the Arts is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education. From offices in Washington, DC and New York City, they provide a rich array of programs that meet the needs of over 150,000 members and stakeholders. They are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and to creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.

This year, five members of Boulder’s arts community were awarded grants by the Boulder Arts Commission to attend the Americans for the Arts Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA and represent the Boulder arts community.

Please join us on Tuesday, September 3rd at 5:30 p.m. at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art for a share out and panel discussion, with topics ranging from public art, funding for the arts, the changing landscape of the arts in America and much, much more!

Panelists include convention attendees and scholarship award winners:

  • David Dadone, Executive Director, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
  • Shoshanna Fanizza, Board Member, Boulder County Arts Alliance
  • Meridith Grundei, Actor/Company Member, The Catamounts Theatre
  • James LaVita, Co-Director, 3rd Law Dance/Theater

The panel will be moderated by Boulder Arts Commission Vice-Chair, Anna Salim.
