Convergence
October 2013 – January, 2014 @ BMoCA

It is the role of the artist to document the current time and to put forth an opinion. This can be done in many ways, through many mediums and can yield all sorts of ideas. We make art graphically, we do it simply – and we do it powerfully. Through our work we seek to communicate beauty, to foster joy – and to remember. It is with this in mind that we have chosen to create a commemorative large format print to honor and celebrate the resilience and unity inspired by the Colorado flood of 2013. We wish to call attention to our home, to pay tribute to those that made vital and selfless contributions and to respect and recognize all those affected. – Todd Berger

This work has been commissioned by Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and the City of Boulder as part of The Flood Project: Rising Above & Restoring Boulder Through Art. Limited edition prints will be sold for $650 each, and proceeds benefit flood relief efforts by Foothills United Way.
