The Science Club: The Boy's Room, Now, Forever, Then, part 1
September 26 – December 27, 2008 @ BMoCA

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art was proud to present The Science Club, The Boy’s Room, Now, Forever, Then, part 1 by Erika Wanenmacher. Wanenmacher, as artist, seer, and magician, created a fascinating tableau set in Los Alamos, New Mexico from 1960 to the present. Technology, science, and popular culture conjoined in this domestic place of perceived normalcy and childhood innocence, only to be informed and overshadowed by the cataclysmic ramifications of what in fact often covertly takes place within the home realm. Particularly powerful at this juncture in history, Wanenmacher’s provocative exhibition entreats us to consider the current state of our world at the brink of peril and possibilities.
